1. Member Login


1.1 I forgot my password. Can you tell me what it is?

No problem! Just click on 'Forgot Password?' on CityCrowd.com Home Page and enter your email address that you have registered with. We will send your password to your private email address immediately. Still need help? Contact us.

2. Registering/Joining


2.1 If I'm a member of DateCrowd and want to join another section (e.g. CareerCrowd) what do I need to do?

All you need to do is to go to the section you want to join and create a profile. You can do this from the top navigation. Just click the crowd you want to join (i.e. LoveCrowd, SocialCrowd or CareerCrowd) and answer the profile questions.

2.2 Can I join DateCrowd, LoveCrowd, SocialCrowd and CareerCrowd at the same time?

Yes you can! All you need to do is to create a separate profile for each crowd.

2.3 Do I have to register separately for DateCrowd, LoveCrowd, SocialCrowd and CareerCrowd

No, you don't! Once you register with CityCrowd.com you are entitled to use DateCrowd, LoveCrowd, SocialCrowd and CareerCrowd. Although there are individual profiles for each crowd, there is only one registration!

2.4 Do I need to create separate profiles for DateCrowd, LoveCrowd, SocialCrowd and CareerCrowd

Yes you do.

2.5 What are your membership fees?

Nothing ! This site is 100% FREE

3. Search


3.1 What is Search?

Searching allows you to specify the types of member profiles you want to see. You can conduct an unlimited number of searches by selecting the preferences and characteristics you are looking for.

3.2 What is Quick Search?

Quick Search produces most results. This is because the search criteria is very broad, meaning more people are likely to match your search criteria. Here the standard search criteria is by Age and City.

3.3 What is Advanced Search?

Advanced Search allows you to narrow down your search to specific physical characteristics, background or interests.

3.4 What is Online Search?

Online Search allows you to see who else is online at the same time as you. Simply go to 'Who's Online' on the left side navigation and start chatting using our Instant Messenger.

3.5 What is Name Search?

If you are looking for a particular member and you know this member's username, then use Name Search.

3.6 Can I save search criteria for future? (Saved Searches)

Yes you can! In Advanced Search once you've selected your search criteria, you can save them by giving that particular search a name. You can save as many searches as you like by giving them different names. All the searches you save will appear under 'Saved Searches' (on the right side panel in Advanced Search) for future one-click results.

4. Mail


4.1 How is the mail I send to other members anonymous?

We respect your privacy and keep your actual email address confidential. You'll never see your email address displayed at CityCrowd.com and all written communication from other members will be directed to your CityCrowd.com Mail box and NOT to your private email address.

4.2 What is Mail History?

This allows you to view past mail exchanges with a particular member, so you have a record of all mail at a glance.

4.3 Can I view mail that I have sent to others?

Yes you can! Just go to 'Sent Mail' on the left side navigation.

4.4 Can I save mail that I send to others?

All mail that you send to others is automatically saved for you. You can view it by going to 'Sent Mail' on the left side navigation.

4.5 Why am I not getting very many/any responses?

If you want to increase your level of responses just post a photo. Research shows that profiles with photos are 8 times more likely to receive a response.

4.6 How do I block someone I don't want to talk to/receive mail from?

To block a member click 'Block' on this member's profile. 'Block' stops a member from sending you mail or chatting to you using CityCrowd Messenger.

5. Friends


5.1 What are Friends for?

The Friends function works along the lines of a 'bookmark'. All members that you find interesting you can add to your Friends List for a quick and easy access. Also, once in your Friends List you will not have to search for them among others to find out if they are online or not. They will be displayed on your CityCrowd Messenger contact list.

5.2 How do I make someone my friend?

You can add members to your Friends List from search result pages by clicking 'Add' or from members profile pages by clicking 'Add to friends' on their profile page.

5.3 Can I find out if someone put me on their Friends List?

Yes you can! Simply go to 'Who likes me?' on the left side navigation. Here you can find a list of those who have added you to their Friends List.

6. My Profile


6.1 How do I create a profile?

Creating and posting a profile is free and takes only a few minutes to go through the easy steps. Think of it as a quick sketch of who you are, your lifestyle and what you are looking for. Why wait? Create your profile today!. Once your profile is complete, we will review it and post it on the site within 24 hours.

6.2 How do I update my profile?

It's quick and easy to do! To update your profile, go to Edit Profile on the left side navigation and click 'edit' on the section of the profile you want to update.

6.3 What are CityCrowd.com's profile guidelines?

CityCrowd.com welcomes all 18+ adults seeking to connect with people on four different levels: dating, relationships, socialising and networking. We review each and every profile to provide our members with a comfortable environment, also ensuring them the best quality of people on the site. We reserve the rights to revise our guidelines from time to time, so please check back for updates. We may reject profiles if the narrative text contains any of the following:

1. Any direct contact information (i.e. email addresses, URLs, ICQ/instant messenger IDs, phone numbers, full names, addresses)

2. Any location or descriptive information that threatens a member's anonymity

3. Abusive language of any kind (i.e. vulgarity, racism, sexism etc.)

4. Discussion of description of illegal acts or behaviour (i.e. drug use, violence, criminal acts)

5. Business or political advertisements or solicitations

6. Material that exploits or solicits personal information from individuals under the age of 18

7. Foreign languages (to effectively monitor profiles, they must be in English)

8. Solicitation of multiple or additional partners

9. Unauthorised use of copyrighted or trademarked material

10. Overt sexual innuendo or discussion

11. CityCrowd.com doesn't accept content from:

- Incarcerated individuals

- Individuals under the age of 18

7. My Photos


7.1 What are the guidelines for posting a photo?

Our photo guidelines are as follows:

1. Chose a solo shot for your main photo, and save the second, third, fourth and fifth positions for holiday or party photos.

2. Please note that you must appear in each of the photos - we will not post photos of children or pets only.

3. Photos of cartoon characters or celebrities are copyrighted and cannot be posted.

4. Nudity, obscenity, sexual or otherwise offensive photos will not be posted.

5. Photo files cannot be larger than 250 K

6. Photo formats that we accept are as follows: JPG/JPEG, GIF, PNG

7.2 How do I post a photo?

To upload a photo directly from your computer, simply go to 'Add Photo' on the left side navigation and follow the instructions.

Please note:

  • We only accept the following photo formats: JPG/JPEG, GIF, PNG
  • Your photo file must be under 250 K


  • Once approved, uploaded photos might be posted resized/cropped if they are too large for posting. Be sure to crop your photo if necessary before uploading it. It may take up to 24 hours for your photo to appear on your profile as we need to review it. Once approved, it will be displayed on the site immediately. If your photo is rejected you will receive an email informing you of the reasons and asking you to upload another photo.



    7.3 I already have a photo, but how do I add other photos?

    Posting additional photos is quick and easy! Simply go to 'Add Photo' on the left side navigation and follow the instructions.

    Please note:

  • Your photo file must be under 250 K

    Normal posting time for photos is 24 hours. We approve each photo to maintain the quality of profiles available at CityCrowd.com

    7.4 How many photos can I post?

    You can post up to 5 photos.

    7.5 If I upload more than 1 photo, which one will be displayed in my profile and search results?

    You can select where you want your photo to appear, be it in your profile or photo album. The photo that you select to appear 'In Profile' will be displayed in your profile as well as all search result pages that other members will be viewing. To grab their attention make sure the photo you select to put 'In Profile' is your best one!

    7.6 I'm following the guidelines and still having trouble posting photos. Any suggestions?

    8. Instant Messenger

    Instant Messenger allows you to have a private, one to one conversation with other members. Any member that has an ("online") icon next to their name in search result pages is currently on CityCrowd.com. Which means you can have a real time conversation with them using our Instant Messenger. Note: You can send instant messages to more than one person.
    Only the person you send an instant message to can read your message. It's NOT public like in a chat room. Your private conversation will appear within the instant messaging window. For detailed information on how to use CityCrowd Messenger, Click here.

    10. Miscellaneous


    10.1 Why does the CityCrowd.com site seem to be slow?

    If you are having trouble with speed of our site, it's usually one of the three things:

    1. CityCrowd.com may be experiencing technical difficulty so please try again later.

    2. The connection on your end may be the cause. Double-check your modem settings or connection speed to make sure you're connected at the highest possible internet connection rate.

    3. The internet itself may be experiencing a traffic jam.

    Try again at another time when the information highway may not be so heavily travelled. If you've done all this and continue to have difficulties, please contact us and we'll be happy to help you.

    10.2 CityCrowd.com Customer Service

    Our Customer Service is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We endeavour to respond to all email inquiries within 24 hours.

    10.3 Do you tell others my email address?

    Not at all. We don't reveal any personal contact information to any other members. Only you can choose who you'd like to share personal contact information with. You'd do this through your private communications with other members.

    10.3 How do I know your company is legitimate?

    It's very important to feel comfortable on the website you're giving personal information to. Our site tries to do this in a number of different ways:

    - Our Privacy Policy is available at the bottom of any page of our site. The Privacy Policy will outline what information we collect and how we use it.

    - Similarly you can also view our Terms of Use on any page as well. All members must agree to this while registering. Thus, every member agrees to abide by a code of conduct.

    10.4 Are you going to sell my email address to a mailing list?

    No. Our Privacy Policy states we do not sell or disclose your email address to any third party for the purposes of spamming or mailing lists. Given the nature of our site, we know you expect privacy and anonymity. You may review our Privacy Policy at any time and should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

    10.5 What are the hidden costs?

    Nothing ! as CityCrowd is 100% FREE.
